An appointment has now been made with the following announcement released by the Vice President, Societal Impact Equity and Engagement.
I am pleased to share that Michelle Gordon has been appointed as our new Director Strategic Events (encompassing Centre For Ideas). She will be reporting to the Executive Director, Partnerships and Engagement, alongside the Director of External Engagement (Faculties and Precincts) and proposed new partnerships position.
Michelle is an accomplished multi-sector communications professional who joins us all the way from London, where she was Director of Transformation at The Royal Society of Medicine, promoted from Director of Communications. I know you will all make her feel very welcome.
I’d like to also take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Alice Marklew, who has done a fantastic job as interim Director Strategic Events. During that time, Alice’s leadership, creativity and personable nature has driven significant engagement and partnership via Centre For Ideas. She has made significant positive impact within the UNSW community and forged great working relationships with collaborators and colleagues in this capacity.
Thank you all for your continued patience and flexibility as the new structure and strategy for the division comes to life.
